Salesforce recently launched Salesforce Data and AI innovation for retail aimed at enhancing today’s shopping experience at NRF 2024. Retail merchandisers and marketers can leverage this generative AI embedded into the Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud to optimize every customer interaction, thereby increasing loyalty, driving revenue, and boosting employee productivity.
The Einstein 1 platform drives these groundbreaking retail innovations. The Einstein 1 platform connects with real-time shopper data, securely integrating with large language models (LLMs) to ensure brand voice consistency, data governance, and security. This provides new shoppers, merchandisers, and retail marketing experiences through connected data and AI-powered apps.
According to current Salesforce statistics, AI has increased operational efficiency for 83% of global retailers. Furthermore, 63% of marketers believe that using reliable customer data is crucial when implementing generative AI in their organizations.
Retailers seek a system that can integrate all of their consumer data into a single, trusted platform and then use it to generate the most efficient, AI-driven retail experiences.
Einstein Copilot for Shoppers
Einstein Copilot has a new consumer-facing version that enables personalized conversations with customers. Customers can browse products and make purchases faster by using natural language interactions on merchant platforms like digital storefronts and messaging apps.
For example, a shopper in the Pacific Northwest can tell Einstein Copilot for Shoppers that he or she needs camping supplies. Based on existing consumer data such as location, interests, and prior purchases, Einstein Copilot for Shoppers may provide the shopper with a waterproof and windproof tent in the appropriate color, as well as a link for quick payment.
Page Designers
Page Designer speeds up the design, development, and customization of e-commerce sites and pages by employing generative AI-powered natural language prompts. For example, a merchandiser can quickly design a campaign landing page for a new line of running shoes by inputting a few prompts into Page Designer and immediately generating a new web page that matches the branding of its present shop.
Return Insights in Order Management
Return Insights in Order Management analyzes data, looks for trends in return behavior, and uses AI to advise stores on product display changes to reduce future returns. It also uses sentiment analysis to assess comments on product evaluations and return reason codes before offering solutions to problems with specific products.
Inventory Insights
Inventory Insights gives digital retailers an accurate picture of available inventory, allowing them to maintain items in stock whenever possible. With near-real-time access to inventory data and analytics, merchants can quickly manage inventory reservations and product holds, anticipate future inventory demand, and give customer service personnel product recommendations that may be added to a customer’s basket.
Customer and Product Insights
To assist merchandisers in creating innovative, focused commerce experiences, Customer and Product Insights uses data from Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud to display trends such as the most popular product bundles sold and the most engaged shopper demographics.
Global Promotion Management
Retailers can easily coordinate price and incentive actions for both loyalty members and non-loyalty consumers by utilizing global promotion management, which combines customer marketing and promotion data with predictive analytics to anticipate projected promotion income.
Marketers can simply build, launch, and distribute omnichannel promotions with discounts and loyalty benefits to better engage their customer base by utilizing guided setup with pre-defined promotion templates.
Referral Marketing
Referral Marketing provides pre-built templates and an integrated “Likely to Refer” AI engine to assist businesses in identifying consumers who are most likely to participate in referral programs, allowing them to quickly increase conversion and launch referral programs. Brands can now monitor trends and change promotions to create integrated experiences that include interactive email campaigns, landing pages, A/B testing, and send-time personalization.
Segment Creation
Segment Creation helps merchants improve targeting and personalization by combining trustworthy data from Data Cloud with generative AI suggestions. Businesses can now customize journeys, offers, and suggestions for customers across marketing, commerce, and service touchpoints by creating new segments in minutes.
Content Creation for Marketing Cloud Engagement
Content Creation for Marketing Cloud Engagement enables retail marketers to address content bottlenecks in campaign and personalization tactics. Marketers can utilize natural language prompts powered by generative AI to create personalized on-brand visual content, email subject lines, and body text at scale, increasing customer satisfaction and conversion.
