Recently Salesforce introduced a Connected Vehicle App, a new Automotive Cloud service that enables manufacturers to create and deliver safer, more personalized driver experiences more quickly and easily.
With a single console and a ready-to-use set of industry-specific and low-code/no-code development tools, the application enables automakers to roll out new services and features to drivers faster by enabling bidirectional, over-the-air (OTA) data sharing and software updates between the cloud and the vehicle via a wireless or cellular network.
Connected Vehicle App is a cloud-based platform that gives manufacturers a uniform, intelligent digital foundation to help them save development time and roll out features and upgrades more quickly than previously.
The software enables automakers to quickly combine vehicle, Internet of Things (IoT), driver, and retail data from a variety of sources, enhancing driver experiences and keeping vehicles working smoothly.
Remote Vehicle Actions lets service staff remotely manage vehicle features such as door locks and temperature settings during a car service appointment or roadside event, allowing drivers to get back on the road sooner.
Triggered Remote Actions
Remote Vehicle Actions lets service staff remotely manage vehicles enabling automakers to provide customized driving experiences while decreasing the time and effort required to construct them.
Vehicle Health Monitoring
Vehicle Status Monitoring enables service teams to easily monitor important performance data such as vehicle and engine condition and fuel status, allowing them to proactively inform drivers of potential concerns and automatically add jobs to their next service appointment.
Shows Critical Vehicle Information
Vehicle Data Visualization functions as a digital tool, offering a comprehensive image of all a vehicle’s linked parts, features, and services, allowing sales, service, and retail staff to make faster, more educated decisions to pleasure or protect their customers.
Act on Telematics Data in Real-Time
The Actionable Telematics Framework enables automakers to ingest, analyze, and act on extensive telematics data, such as speed, fuel, and battery use, in order to proactively warn drivers of important safety or service issues when they matter the most.
Power in Vehicle Purchasing
Automakers may enable drivers to pay for parking, tolls, and subscriptions directly from their onboard infotainment systems, thanks to Commerce Cloud and Revenue Cloud add-on capabilities.
Enabled Brand Offers
With Marketing Cloud add-on capabilities, automakers can provide personalized in-car offers for drive services and entertainment apps, upgraded traffic alerts, route planning, or a trial of a new lane departure assist feature based on data such as navigation history, household information, and unused Vehicle features.
Connected Vehicle is built on Automotive Cloud, which is powered by the Einstein 1 Platform, allowing automakers to use connected vehicle, driver, and IoT data to improve driving experiences for customers while also delivering trusted AI that surfaces key summaries and insights in the flow of work for customer-facing teams.
Bring All Data Together
Data Cloud for Automotive integrates structured and unstructured data from several sources, including telemetry systems, Automotive Cloud’s Driver Console, and vehicle charging networks, into a single model. This makes it simple to track, evaluate, and comprehend vehicle performance and driver experience over time in order to proactively adapt to their demands and increase happiness.
Generate Overviews of Driver History
Interaction review provides a brief review of previous client contact for sales and service staff, including recent meetings and interactions with the customer. With the stroke of a button, Warranty Summary creates a summary of essential warranty information such as open service cases, vehicle-related work orders, and warranty coverage details.
AI-Powered Vehicle Health
Connected Vehicle Summary employs artificial intelligence to create snapshots of vehicle health, as well as recommendations for correcting potential faults and optimizing performance. Along with this information, agents can select from automatically recommended actions such as filing a work order for a vehicle inspection or recognizing a potential accessory update.
