Most of us are aware that Marketing Cloud Growth Edition made a sensation earlier this year, as we labeled it the first iteration of Marketing Cloud on the core. Technically, it is a Marketing Cloud Product built on top of Data Cloud, which has become the new foundation for the Salesforce platform.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advanced edition the big sister of Marketing Cloud Growth, has just been announced. Its growth capabilities make it a suitable fit for SMB and B2B marketing firms, Salesforce is pushing up-market with Advanced Edition, Which includes more features.
This includes the Path Experiment, which tests different material across channels, Unified discussions with SMS, which enables two-way discussions, Einstein Engagement Frequency, and Einstein Engagement Scoring, and Rules-based Dynamic material. We’ll also review Opportunity Influence, the ‘ smarter’ version of Campaign Influence.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition offers an expanded feature set beyond what is available in Marketing Cloud Growth Edition. To summarize, the Growth version is Marketing Cloud’s initial version, built on Salesforce Data Cloud. It was designed to support small businesses:
1. Connect marketing, sales, support, and commerce teams and increase revenue with a single platform.
2. Deliver campaigns and content faster with trustworthy AI.
3. Personalize consumer connections using data from across your enterprise.
The Advanced Edition is perfect for small businesses looking for the features of the Growth Edition but with enhanced functionality and scalability. In addition to everything Growth Edition offers, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition introduces innovative features powered by predictive AI.
These tools enable small businesses to connect with customers more quickly, streamline customer journeys, and gain deeper insights into their audience. More details are provided below.
Get More Out of SMS Messaging
Unified Conversations for SMS enables organizations to combine conversations across Marketing, Service, and Commerce, allowing customers to conduct a two-way discussion with your company utilizing a single SMS number.
A telecom company, for example, can utilize Advanced Edition to keep their Sales and Service teams up to date on their customers’ behaviors during the churn campaign with data-triggered workflow automation. They can utilize SMS to renew a customer’s contract and introduce them to the most recent features via Service in the Loop.
Marketers can also use replies to learn more about their customers, including demographics, affinities, and buy intent.
Examine your Journey in real-time
The Path Experiment feature in Salesforce Flow helps you see how your customers interact with multiple, unique paths, allowing you to monitor and optimize customer journeys.
Individuals can be randomly assigned to different pathways, ensuring unbiased outcomes. You can also control how individuals are assigned to different paths during testing journeys.
Use Predictive AI to Send Fewer and Better Communications
One of the fundamental rules of marketing is to never bombard your customers with too many messages. However, this can be difficult when executing numerous automated journeys at the same time.

Utilize Predictive AI to Identify Your Most Interested Customers
Scoring is essential for evaluating how engaged your clients are with your marketing. However, maintaining grading rubrics can be a laborious task.
Small businesses can utilize Einstein Engagement Scoring to forecast which consumers are ready to buy and which require further nurturing. This eliminates the need for manual analysis, allowing marketers to focus on action.
The tools we’re developing for Advanced Edition will enable advertisers to target their most interested clients with highly tailored, localized material at the optimal time. Furthermore, they broaden marketers’ reach beyond the typical marketing funnel into sales and commerce scenarios.
